Learning
Solutions is pleased to offer the Davis Dyslexia
Correction ®
Program to San Antonio and the surrounding areas.
Finally there’s a program that recognizes and addresses
the root cause of reading and learning challenges – not
just the symptoms.
The Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program is a revolutionary
method that’s helping thousands of people to learn and communicate
better.
“We’ve seen a real change in our son since he went
through Davis,” said David Murrow. “He’s not
only reading better, his handwriting is now legible and he’s
doing better in school. I think he’s happier in general.”
Learning Solutions Facilitator Shari Chu, who graduated from
the program herself said, “In my twenty years as an educator,
I have never come across a more effective program for addressing
learning disabilities. The Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program
is different from other programs,” said Chu. “It recognizes
and addresses the root cause of reading and other learning challenges.
The methods draw on a person’s natural gifts to overcome
difficulties.”
Chu explained, “When reading and learning are difficult,
students often feel overwhelmed. The Davis Program helps students
respond with confidence. This opens the door to success. I intensely
disliked reading before I graduated from the Davis Program. Now
I read
novels for pleasure. It’s wonderful!”
The Gift
At the root of dyslexia is a natural ability, a talent. Not all
dyslexics are the same, but many possess special talents, which
include:
- Thinking mainly in pictures instead of words
- Being highly intuitive and insightful
- Thinking and perceiving multi-dimensionally using all senses
- Curiosity about how things work
- Being highly aware of their environment
- Utilizing the brain’s ability to alter and create
perceptions
- Having vivid imaginations
It is estimated that as many as a third of all people are born
with dyslexic talents. Of those, as many as half may experience
marked difficulty in school.
The goal of the Davis Program is not to eliminate these talents.
Instead, we show students how to gain control, and use their talents
for academic success.
